This directory contains the VXI-11 Keyboard Program and its support files.
The ICS_VXI-11_Install.exe program installs the VXI-11 Keyboard program on any 32 or 64-bit Windows operating system. Click here to run the installer. Select only the VXI-11 keyboard when asked what to install.
The VXI-11 Keyboard program supports all of ICS's 80xx series products that have Ethernet interfaces.
Start the VXI-11 Keyboard program and follow the enabled buttons. First scan for a VXI-11 server or type in the IP address of the server you want to connect to. Select the found IP address and press Create Link to link to the server.
For an 8065, you have to find the GPIB devices connected to the server or manually enter a GPIB address in the Device address Window. Select a device and press Create Link to link to it. At this point you can enter commands in the device command window, send messages and read back device responses, serial poll, trigger and clear the device.
For 80xx VXI-11.3 Interfaces, the program automatically scans for the devices interface names when you linked to it. Select an interface name in the Device Address window and press Create Link to link to it. At this point you can enter commands in the device command window, send messages and read back device responses, serial poll, trigger and clear the device, depending upon the device's capabilities.
See the VXI-11 keyboard help file and tool-tip test for additional help messages.
Complete directions for using the VXI-11 keyboard program are in section 3 of the 80xx series product manual or refer to the Help instructions when running the program.
