The IET HPRS-Hipot-QuadTech Load consists of 8 high power/high voltage resistors as called out in the calibration procedure for the QuadTech Guardian 1000 series and the Chroma 1905X series of Hipot Testers. The IET high power resistive load provides a high power and high voltage load to the hipot tester to create the leakage current needed to calibrate the QuadTech and Chroma hipot testers as well as various other manufactures hipot testers.

The HPRS-HIPOT-QuadTech Load consist of a series of 8 resistances 0.8 Ω for continuity, and from 50 kΩ to 1 GΩ for ac/dc hipot and insulation resistance.

IET can build the HPRS Hipot Load Series with a range of resistance values, accuracies, power ratings and maximum voltage depending upon your requirement.

Typical Application: The hipot tester is connected to the various calibration load resistors during the calibration process. The voltage across the load and the current flowing through the load can then be measured. The measured voltage and current can then be compared with the displayed value from the hipot tester during calibration or as part of the adjustment procedure.
